Ship and Sea

During the day you can see the waves coming, anticipate them. You know how the ship will bounce and lean. It’s exhilarating.

But at night fear sets in.

You can’t see the waves anymore, just little glimpses as white froth catches the moonlight. The movements of the ship take you by surprise. But you trust the ship in the day, to make its way uninhibited and unharmed. You must also trust it in the night.
